30-6
The scope I ordered for the coming rimmy came today 3.5-10x50 with illuminated center dot reticule. It has three thick posts and one thin (I think like a german sniper). Anybody use one of these?

lazza
I've got a s&b with illuminated center dot reticule. A bit strange to zero, but a dream to shoot with. If you have any problems with trying to zero it, give me a shout and I'll email you some targets I made up, which may help.

Lancs Lad
dont understand why people by "cheap" scopes................
Wookie
Because they are short of cash? I tried a cheapy once, but it was ****e, so I sent it back. I think it was a Richter Optik 3-12x56 and it was terrible. Lovely to look at, but a milky picture and had a large black ring round the picture at low mag. I ended up going back to my trusty 3-9x40 Tasco because it was better in low light and was a lot sharper in daylight. Even the lack of illuminated reticle wasn't an issue when out lamping is was/is that good. Mind you, if I found a Deben Niteeye 3-12x56 (I think that's the right one, the one with the IR mildot) at the right price, I'd have it. 30-6
The scope in question for me is a Hawke. Now I now a lot of shooters don't like them but they work for me and are affordable. Cheers lazza, if I need some targets I'll get back to you
Dunkield
I has a coupe of Hawke's, nothing wrong with either of them, very good for the money IMHO.
Peter_HMR
There is a difference bettween cheap scopes and unbranded chinese cheap scopes Hawkes are a fine scope and perfect for any rimfire. Why put a £800 S&B on a £50 .22lr
lazza
Dazza, could you send me your email address and I'll send that on to you. psittacosis, I have 2 hawkes & a s&b, although if I could afford to have a s&b on each of my rifles, I would!
