pin
Out shooting today I had my usual Express High velocity 7 1/2 plastic wad carts. A box I poured into my pocket were odd, greasy and there were quite a few squares of powder sticking to the carts. Was almost like they had kind of sweated if that makes any sense, seemed to be like a light oily substance. Later on there was another one just like it, all the rest out of that 1000 batch have been fine. The fired ok, but I wondered if anyone knew what it might have been or if you have seen this before? njc110381
Not seen it before, but I recon it may have been a problem at the factory. If something jammed up, they may have oiled the machine and the first few boxes made got some excess oil on them? I've had odd squares of propellant stuck on shells before, but never oil
Dunkield
Might just have misssed a stage in production, poor quality control maybe? I had a couple of boxes of Clear Winners few years ago thet were all melted at the crimp end. They asked me to chop them up and send them some samples, they sent me some replacement boxes to my local gun shop.
MC
I was out clay shooting yesterday and one of the guys I was with had a misfire on one stand. The cartridge was a Gamebore White Gold XLR and it had no powder in it, the primer went off and nothing else happened. On close examination the cartridge had just started to open at the crimp. If I had thought about free samples I would have kept it to send off
caragh
Hi I have had a box exactly how you describe kinda oily and the print was easily rubbed off. Funny enough from the same manufacturer was about 2 years ago.

chrismpullbang
i had a box of pro-comps like that a while back, checked with the safety office and he said they were fine to shoot, just a problem with the manufacturing stage, nothing wrong with them though.
