Keith RW
Lots of members use the AT's and swear by them, looking for some 225 65 17 and considering the Dunlop Grandtrek SJ6, Both similar tread so should do the same job and about the same price all bar a tenner each... Anyone running Dunlops that can can vouch for them Cheers
Fuddster
i have a land cruiser 120 which has had 225/70/17's dunlop grand trek at20's since i've had it.(50k) dont know if the SJ6 version is massively different but I have found them to very road biased and pretty rubbish off road-even to the slightest degree of mud. so when the current set wear out i'll be looking at either BFG's or the continental cross contacts if i still have the car. even if i swapped the LC, it would take a lot to buy any dunlops as they seem to very soft. f. Cheers, That answers that one then as looking for something to cope with the slippery mud, got pirrelli scorpions on at present which are the second set on my xtrail and which have been OK up to now but finding myself having to cope with more wet and mud and off road conditions than I used to when first started out and need something a bit more aggressive. michufc
BFG at are very good long lasting but a bit pricy though if the vehicle is a long term then they would be worth it
vampire
Been stuck using new grabber tyres and had to get pulled out with tractor, they are road bias, never been stuck with my bfg though
Fuddster
i've been watching tyre prices on Camskills site-it appears they adjust them-when the price of oil hit the low point BFGs dropped to £145 a tyre-theyre now back up at £172. it'll be bfgs for me next time-i want the confidence off road that the dunlop just dont give. f.
