Tom Robinson
I just wanted to share a picture (if it uploads) of the truck I use for lamping.over the years I have tried lamping out of a few different trucks/quads and even an old Renault clio, but I have found this by far the best. Suzuki sj Quiet 1l petrol engine 2 or 4 wheel drive Goes anywhere The windscreen folds down with two catches And iv cut the top of the door hinges of so that the doors can be easily lifted of, makes it a lot easier getting in and out doing gates etc. I wondered what other people use? Grandalf
Has it got a hole in the roof Grandalf ? Yes, it has a Land Rover lift-outable hatch. I then have a seat set on the decking I fitted the truck with so I can do the whole event sitting down. Motorbike intercom to talk to the driver. I have the red spotting lamp and he has the white shooting light fitted on a remote control arm just out of his window. If I'm using NV for shooting I put a red filter on the main lamp for spotting. When sitting out on my own I have a fixed IR lamp and a monocular for spotting. The whole system has evolved over the eight years I have had the truck - It works well.
