pigeonblasterian
Met up today with two members and got to the maize strips and they had been sprayed with slurry again. Saw the keeper just as we arrived and he said he had set a few pigeons up on his ride round. So as the plan was to get on a strip each we decided to give it a go. We got set up but it was very quiet this morning and nothing much about till the afternoon. There was not a lot of shooting going on and we had one move to do so we could all get some shots in. Doubt if i will try these strips again as we were only getting passing birds. We ended up with 20 woodpigeon and 8 ferals and a crow which is not in the photo. But it was a nice day out and and for once could shoot without a jacket on.

JDog
The only good thing to come out of this apart from the pigeons is that you know that there will be maize there again this year. They would not be putting slurry on otherwise.

dendro
Good day out with Ian and Ian, Ian will do his very best to get you some shooting, my day started very slow with only 1 bird that was passing and a couple missed that where flighting past. A move was then made in the early afternoon which put me onto some and a couple even committed to the pattern but most where just flighting past.Finished the day with some in the bag and smile. Thanks again
