loriusgarrulus
We shall all have to become self employed vermin control operatives. By the time we have claimed petrol allowance for travelling to shoot. Gun allowance. Cartridge costs. Clothing and equipment and of course gun licence fee.. Offset against 50p a time for pigeons and £1 a rabbit we will all be getting tax rebates. Could end up costing them more in the long run as the loss you make in your self employed earnings is claimable against the tax you pay in your normal work. And we will all be earning peanuts so we can all go on top up benefits, which we won't want to lose so we will have to vote Labour for the rest of our lives Damm! the old witch has won again! Vince Green
She's another reason why not to vote Labour. Everytime she appears on tv or radio it's only to complain or criticise about another party's activities. A recurring theme in Labour's campaign, proving its easy to be in opposition. You either knock everybody or promise things that could never happen.

The idea is too run the vermin control business part time against your main employment. You have got to have another occupation or pension you are paying tax on to claim against. The Tax office are very helpful on how to do things and will give free advice over the phone and often run free half day training courses too for self employed. All payed for by our taxes anyway. I know but the idea of living on top up benefits sounds much more appealing, especially when I'm down in Merthyr, When in Rome and all that,
loriusgarrulus
Damm. I worked full time and overtime all my life and saved to have a decent pension. I should have known I was doing it wrong some how. They even tax my pension now.

jimmydean
Well if its any consolation they can't tax the bit of our pensions that Gordon Brown plundered You want to bet ? I can forsee a time when 'notional' pension benefits will be taxed - i.e. that which they thought you should be benefiting from - HMRC rarely trust anyone to do their own addition and the idea of notional benefits will always mean more than actual - therefore added tax benefits. Guest stevo
Labour would never get my vote for lots of reasons... Not a chance. Not while I have a hole in my ****. I'm right wing ( not too far) and proud of it.
