Crumpler1991
i have a Winchester 101 trap gun montecarlo stock theres two things i would like to do to it and wandered if they were easy diy 1st is i want a mid bead put on as it had one before and has been removed can you just buy off ebay and glue on? second is i want to extend the stock whats the cheapest way of doing this without one of them slip ons? thanks
Gordon R
It depends on how the old bead was removed. If there is a hole - glue a mid bead in. If has been ground off, if could be a problem drilling the stump out. If it does need drilling, I would be consulting a gunsmith. Personally, I wouldn't replace it. I have ground off every single one I have ever had. Thicker pad should extend almost as much as you could want.
demonwolf444
As above, but failing a pad extension a wooden extension would do it; unless you are good at diy i would send it to someone who does this stuff regularly as a bad wood extension is awful
welshwarrior
If there's a hole for the mid bead easy to refit if not it's hard work. If there's a hole pm merge size I'll have something I can stick in the post. Extending the stock Upto an 1" 1/8th you can get a pad or of course use wood. If your not confident get some one who does it regularly to do it as a badly fit extension or pad look dreadful.
