jimmyb79
Hi all, I have been given a few carrier bags today of old cartridges. Some older than others but quite a few old Eleys and some Cogwell and Harrison amongst them. There are two which intrigue me- one is a Hull 12g, made of entirely white/translucent plastic. No markings on the case and even the base is plastic. The other one is a 12g made by FN. Brass head but case is a silver metal of some sort. There's a similar one in there with a metal case and what appears to be a paper tip holding the shot card in. It's got a head stamp saying its a grouse cartridge. I've never really had much involvement with older cartridges so, has anyone come across these? Just wondered whether they were used for anything in particular or if they were quite common... sportsbob
I still have hundreds of factory Hitec F1 cartridges , I also have thousands of empties as I used to shoot them once and generally reload them twice.
