WOODY WATCH

Peas are going in around here but thanks to modern machinery and guys who do nothing much but drill and harvest peas the spillage/wastage left for Woody is about nil :D

Time will tell, maybe once the first shoots appear or maybe once the pods form or maybe at harvest time :/

We started well on beans this year but rain stopped play (drilling) mind you Woody had a real good go at ‘em and we had a few good goes at Woody. Now we’ve restarted drilling beans but Woody seems to be less interested. Weather change maybe? Sunny, much less wind and a total change of direction. :D

Clover is where they’re at these last couple of bright, sunny spring, almost windless days. Some on set aside weed areas. Back on the poorer rape in numbers by late afternoon. :/

Still some large flocks about but there’s a definite break up on the go. :D

In wiltshire last weekend they were attacking anything that was green and grew out of the ground - flocks like starlings, I kid you not - must have been 1000's in each

But up here in Warks still seen hardly more than 6 birds together at once!
