welshwarrior
Thanks - Holds how many? It's a 4 shot, I shot it in today then fired a group with PPU SP and it was a split group of just over 1/2" so good enough for stalking and boar, this will improve with reloading or trying another brand, but PPU is cheap and works. Grandalf
Sounds very fit for purpose - Well done. How did it feel to fire it for the first time?
welshwarrior
I'm alway a little nervous when I fire a rifle I've built for the first time but when the scopes getting zeroed and you can start to see the groups appearing it's a buzz. It'll is certainly a capable stalking/boar rifle but wouldn't look out of place shooting plains game in Africa.

I get that after all I am one of the ones searching for the horse that bolted from the stable block. But looks wise it shouldn't have a thread on the end either and have the balance it was intended to have. All things like this is to the beholder though and its unquestionably a fine looking job just Myself personally after all said and done a custom should always be custom to the customer which is you in this case. There is always ear plugs / defenders
malkiserow
The mod is very light so doesn't upset the balance at all. The history no real idea I got an action I like with a shot out barrel and had a play. Daf, what are you thoughts on the Hardy now your have used it? There is always ear plugs / defenders It has the balance it was meant to have as I built it to be balanced, but Kent you can always shorten them 1/2" and have it unthreaded or fit an invisible thread protector. If you knew me you'd know why I can't fire unmoderated rifles anymore.
welshwarrior
Daf, what are you thoughts on the Hardy now your have used it? Been using them for awhile they are quite (even with 30-06) really light weight and seem to last. Only down side is when the zombies attack and your out of ammo a T8 etc makes a better club.
