cheesypeas
Hi All, Just wondering how others go about the logistics of an outing where more than 1 rifle is required for the session! For example: you're travelling to your permission for an evening of rabbit bashing, tool for the job = .22lr. knowing that later on the same evening, maybe at a different permission, your quarry will be Fox, tool for the job =.223. Both rifles in the motor, off you go! Now i know its not the done thing to leave any rifle unattended for any length of time, but when not using one, what do people do with the other when not in use? kennett
Take the bolt out and take it with you, then if the worst does happen, it is useless. Cover the rest up or lock it in the boot under cover. Job done, you have taken reasonable steps to secure it, no different to leaving your gun in the car after a days shooting while you have a meal and a pint in the pub
foxbasher
I have a gunclamp in the van and another for use in the car attached with a thick cable. You can pick them up on ebay every now and then. As already mentioned, take the bolt with you just for a little extra peace of mind.
Luckyshot
As above I take the bolt for the second rifle with me and leave the rifle in the back of the van, no locks just under my coat.
srspower
If the rifle is locked in the car boot and the alarm set you have taken reasonable precautions.
