Stealth Stalker
Just cleaning out the ferts & I noticed my 2 jills have come in to season, now I've been pondering on what to do when this arises & now its here I'm still not sure. Are there any Hobbles or Hoblets in the Herts area that would like a night with my girls, or is it a trip to the vets for a jab? Or do I set them up for a session with a nice polecat, obviously I'd like to make sure I could home them. The Missus remarked on how cute the polecat varietys were at the game fair, so I'm sure a few more additions to the family wouldn't go down to bad. What colour would I get from an Albino to polecat type? SS

I bred two jills some years ago and they had 20 kits between them (9-11) so be warned it could be a very big family indeed. PELTMAN

(just remember if you get young uns dont touch em until the jill brings em out into daylight she may kill em all) if she smells your scent on just one kit she will most likely bump em all off. if you are succesful when she brings em out to see you. put your hand in and let em all bite you, you will be friends for life. Dave66
my two have just gone in for spaying today, any special care needed for the next couple of days ? Should be picking them up from the vets this afternoon Thanks Dave66
Cranfield
They never seem to have any ill effects afterwards. Don't over handle them and give them a chance to rest if they want. Its a pretty straight forward procedure. If its a hob and he realises what "castration" means, he might take the top off your finger when you next feed him. Ferret Master
Mine slept indoors the night they were spayed... At least it wasn't me that had to get up at 2am because the ferret wanted out of the lounge and it's nest by the raidiator to get to the cat food. Nippy also had a good chew on the vet when she went back to get her stitches taken out. FM
