Hi All

I have had a couple of experiences over the past couple of weeks that are doing my head in.

Went out with a friend with the .22LR after bunnies and had a couple of clean misses so checked the scope and it was for some reason shooting 2" high after being bang on for ages.

Then last night took out the FAC air and again a couple of clean misses shooting 2" high at my prefferred zero range.

Grouping is good 2 different scopes one a vortex the other an MTC.

Is it me, weather, erector springs settleing on scopes?

Mounts are tight

Its doing my head in!

Suggestions anyone?

Its a sound idea mate I will check my scope positioning and see if im having a bad head position while taking shots. I will have a play tonight and see if I can move things about a bit as I have to re zero anyway.

I didnt think of that to be honest its a vertical group displacement no hotizontal shift at all.

I had this the other day after giving the barrel of my air rifle a good clean, zero set then the next day 1.5" high so zeroed again then next day shot it again and 2" high, had to shim the scope mount to get it right and since then its been bang on. No idea why it went so far off but its had about 100 pellets through and seems settled. Never had to shim it before but then I have never given it a good clean!

Well went out again last night and zero held from where I moved it to the day before. Got some flyers on the target card so I think the barrel could do with a clean.

Only thing I can think of is what Dunkfield suggested. I zeroed this off a bench and the re zero was off my susal sticks sitting down I guess this could have affected zero as my head position may have changed?

Very odd though
