spandit Posted July 6, 2015 Report Share Posted July 6, 2015 I have the 8 gun version and don't use the keypad any more since the batteries went flat and it started making strange beeping noises in the middle of the night - I was away and my wife couldn't do anything about it I have one of the potato safes mentioned and I open that with a key too but have tried the thumping method and it doesn't work. It takes two hands to open. I don't think it's the same mechanism as those little hotel safes (though I'm no expert). The police were very happy with it when i put it in.
