Holland&Holland
I am lucky to get invited to help out in a friends hunting ground (the elderly gentleman in the picture) with all sorts of jobs. This involves shooting wild boar and roe (nice ) but also some nile geese management. It is at the grounds of the local castle with a lot of ponds. It also has roe and red deer grazing on the lawns, quite a funny sight, but doing loads of damage to the edge of the lakes and ponds. So far we shot quite a few nile geese. (you can shoot these whole year round). This day i brought my camera along to shoot some pictures as well. I got only one geese today with the .22 magnum at 80 yards. My friend's one year heidewachtel needs some training so we got the dog out of the car and she retrieved the bird from the lake. Job well done and a good morning out ! Hunter
Watch for Ricochet over water at that angle Thats if you shot them in the water.
Holland&Holland
True ! I did watch out for ricochet. There are steap banks on two sides of the lake and then it starts to go up a hill. So no danger there, but well mentioned.
