hound dog
this might be a silly question but is it ok to feed last seasons wheat to the pheasant poults
fenboy
You and me will be eating plenty of last seasons wheat , so I am sure it will be ok for the poults , unless it has gone damp and mouldy !
oxfordfowler
Yes, should be fine. As long as it's been stored properly and not been contaminated in some way. I was always told that Pheasants preferred old wheat - something to do with chemical changes within the grain as it matures. Outlander
Nowt wrong with it at all, especially if you are getting it at a good price.
rodney
You will need to feed last years wheat as fresh wheat is too strong for digestive system and will go straight thru them
