James1983
Sorry to hijack but similar question. What if I move the safes location? (from cellar to walk in wardrobe)
brett1985
technically you should in both circumstances, but not a lot of people do. some forces are happy for you to swap and move cabinets without re-inspecting, and some demand to come and look. best to ring your local force and ask them. Marki
I recently moved a safe and sent an email just to be sure. The FEO did come around and check it out.
Pigeon Paul
I installed a far larger cabinet last year in a completely different location in my property....... Emailed my FEO to ask if he needed to inspect before I moved my firearms into the new cabinet and was told "as long as the new cabinet is installed in line with current requirements, there is no need to inspect at this time". Cover yourself and get in touch with your FEO. Whatever he or she decides is the correct answer.
