Mentalmac
Hi all, Loving having my pup, she's a wonderful thing :-). Lots of challenges along the way and must be losing weight fast with all the gettig up and down so often haha. I took her to work with me today as the wife was out all day, and she was a great little office dog / kept nice and quiet and seemed to enjoy the office too. All my colleagues enjoyed her being there too and even managed to get out for lunch in the pub whilst the marketing girls had her haha :-) I took her crate in and bed and blanket and chew toy but she seemed to want to just mooch about instead

fenboy
It will be a huge help with her future training if you can have her at work with you
Mentalmac
Great opportunity for socialising her. Oh yes, she's quite adept to being put in different houses and places now - she soon learnt who was who and when I took her for her 'business' she would come back in and walk direct to my office but if I then told her to come with me she would walk with me to other colleagues offices (i just carried her up the stairs as read that stairs at too young isn't great for their joints) and let her see people. It will be a huge help with her future training if you can have her at work with you I think I am quite blessed that my boss is a dog lover and a lover of country sports and as such doesn't mind dogs being in the office at all - I was really happy that the pup was so well behaved and didn't mess on the carpets in my office, as much as I am not keen on the carpet they were blooming expensive! The best bit was I was quite concerned I'd struggle to get anything done with having to play with her and stuff, but she was good at occupying herself with her chew toy or her teddy whilst I worked and I knew when she'd need toilet as she drops toy and made a beeline for the door. Quite impressed :-). Even if I had to put nearly everything on my desk as she would try to eat it!
shoot and be safe
(i just carried her up the stairs as read that stairs at too young isn't great for their joints) I was told the same many years ago. The same applies to jumping on and off the sofas. Labs are prone to joint troubles dew to the amount of close breeding in times gone past. Take it easy with the exercise aswell (no long walks - I think the ratio of 5 min/month old is what is recommended but I may be wrong) the pup will know when they have had enough when left to play by themselves, but they will quite happily keep going if you "push" them. It's great that you can take her to the office and spend the extra time to bond and socialise with her. This is already evident with her toilet training, impressive that she knows to go to the door within a week Keep up the good work ATB sabs Edited August 21, 2015 by shoot and be safe

Yea, she's a good little thing and trying my best to ensure she has a good upbringing. Haha she is certainly happy to play! Love how when she is tired they just curl and sleep anywhere :-)
