I made one of these http://www.mugi.co.uk/evo_intro.php - Mega 16/15/4 with a 7x7 prop and 3s LiPo - I reckon it must be pushing 120mph :stupid: Cheap as chips too.

We got these for dog fighting, Mega 16/15/4, jeti advance 30 speed controllers and modified them for 85mg micro servos. 6x6 prop.

They are amazing things, full bore into the ground and pick it up and throw it again. There was 9 of us with them at one point, I think we had 8 in the air at once - madness

I don't do electric though, it has got to sound somewhere near right as well.

Nothing like a two stroke glow engine doing about 25,000RPM through a tuned pipe.

The Mugi might have been cheap but the gear in it certainly isn't, I would want to get a pellet through a Lipo

Fair point, lipo plus hot lead isn't a great plan. Mind, 2 strokes don't sound like many real planes I know :stupid:

Two small vids of the wings

The first one is last summer, one drone dragging a balloon on a string with the others trying to nack it.

Second one is some footage from a 2.4ghz camera downlink to the ground from one of the wings.

I would have done the same, as for shooting them as said you would be hard pushed and I have seen a model spitfire before that fired bb pellets so you may have been the one being shot at! I must admit it would prove to be amusing watching someone empty both barrels, missing, thumbling to reload and then being chased from their hide by the thing firing bb pellets! :good:
