SPARKIE
today decided i was gonna sort the stock on my cz as close up it looked a bit rough and to feel it was a bit rough in places the person who originally done the stock ,made a bit of a pigs ear of the job and i think it had been vernished as there was the odd brush stroke and run so decided to oil it first of i stripped the gun down and taken it out side got some fine wet n dry and with a bit of water and some elbo grease sanded it down bare to remove most of the cruddy varnish dryed it of and started giving it a few coats of ccl red root oil got to about 5 coats and then when it was dry noticed it had started to raise the odd grain so give it a very fine rub down with the oldest tattiest piece of wet n dry available did the trick tho given it a few more coats and shes as smooth as a babys botty gonna give it a few more coats and should do it how many coats do people usually put on and does anyone ever use the hardener that is supplied in the kit or just leave it and keep toping the oil up everynownagain anyhow heres the results the pics dont really do it any justice it looks a lot smarter in front of ya
