spandit
Just got back to the car to put our solitary bunny in the cool box before driving to another spot. Went to unload my rifle and the cocking handle had fallen out (Anschutz 525). Retraced our steps twice for a good hour but no joy. Removed the live round by sticking an Allen key in the hole and I'll make up a replacement on the lathe in due course but a bit miffed as it put a halt to proceedings. I could have just cocked it with the Allen key again and gone back out but there were so few bunnies to be seen, my mate decided he'd had enough and banged out. Andy H
That's strange i have to give a right ole wrench to get the bolt handle out on my 520.

Underdog
What a flaming shame! A stainless one would look nice!
spandit
any chance that it has come out when you fired at the rabbit No, it was definitely there for some time afterwards as I'd been unloading the gun to climb fences etc. I did make a rough one a few months ago when I was experimenting with a bolt lock but a can do a better job now. Was never the nicest of components anyway
