Alpha Mule
Bolt into your phone, but I see plenty of room for some of our more diligent tinkerers Linky
Lord Geordie
Could see this being used for a thermal imaging scope set up! Bit cost prohibitive though!
PaulJC
Also used for pin number theft... Your button presses on the keypad/cashmachine leave thermal prints that fade over time, using one of these the person behind you can see what numbers you pressed and in what order... I see a video on YouTube about it a little while back...

billytheghillie
but don't they need your card as well?
PaulJC
but don't they need your card as well? Chip or swipe is easily copied tbh, i dont really know how it all works, it's not my field of expertise lol
Alpha Mule
Oh, never thought of that, will be pressing extra buttons from now on.But if they can tell which order they were pressed in originally, you would need to go over your numbers again in the wrong order, to camouflage them. rodp
Why would a thermal be able to read the buttons by the time you've waited for card and cash to come out. I've tried the trick of of seeing hand prints left on a wall and they disappear within seconds, at least with my thermal they do.

rodp
Don't believe it ! Next time the thermal's out I'll check. Notice they only show you still pics, and then of keypads that have been pressed just before the pic, not of one that's been pressed then the operator has had to wait for either money or receipt. Also, he makes a point of putting all his finger on the button, normally you only use the end of your finger I doubt a keyboard would hold heat for even a second, you only touch the buttons momentarily. As for the image of the settee, that's obvious, someone's been sat there for ages and they hold heat. It's all cobblers, just another scare video. PaulJC
It's all cobblers, just another scare video. Quite possibly so, but it's only one video of a few on YouTube and apparently there has been a paper written on it, i dont have the inclination to either find or read it though lol
