A glorious evening

After a day of family time, i was ready to get out of the house at 4pm today.

I headed off to check some wheat stubbles and make note of any local pigeon activity.

It was a perfect September evening with a lovely warm sun and very light winds.

The countryside seemed to be alive with wildlife, and as i sat for a while i was lucky to see a liitle owl, sparrowhawk and various wild gamebirds going about there business.

It was one of those evenings where it just feels good to be alive.

I only took the air rifle but managed a couple of nice Rabbits for the table :)

Yes mate, i looked at a few wheat stubbles tonight and they all had pigeons on them. Nothing to get excited about though and no noticeable flightlines. Any passing birds were high in the sky. I also found a few on clover in the horse paddocks.

Too many stubbles on my patch at the minute, better chance of a good bag when some get ploughed in i reckon.

Nice to just chill out.

Too right :good:

Nice one Aga man :good:

(proper airgun has a whopping big spring in it though :whistling: )

Yes you are right U, been a while since i used one though ;)
