Stonepark
If you are getting plastic fouling within the barrels, it is hanging up on something rough, I would suggest a barrel mop with very fine polishing compound such as Menzerna P175 Yellow Super Finishing Compound and a few hundred passes. activeviii
mop the debris out first then get a new bore mop. dip in acetone and shovel down barrel. I use two in the o/u, one each barrel, and leave to soak and soften the plastic. then in with the bronze brush followed with oily mop as acetone strips all oil out. no hard scrubbing needed, takes no time at all and leaves a mirror finish. Sandbank
Some merit in hawkfanz comment on using fibre wads. I use mostly plastic wads but find 100 or so of my much loved Saga fibre Eurotrap every week or so displaces almost all of the plastic.
