death from below
Haven't really looked into this much.......shooting times seems to be mentioning it a bit.....it seems to cover offences that are already covered by other acts......as far as I know it has always been an offence to mistreat an animal held under your control......so what does this new law give.....more powers to the rspca... a good start....but will it make any difference....as I said I have not looked into it yet so if it does bring some startling new powers/offences then please let me know. pin
The only thing I know about it is it now makes it an offence to not properly feed your animals - you could be done for cruelty / neglect previously but I think the evidence had to be severe (thin emaciated dog for example). From what I understand now, if someone grasses you up and they come into your gaff and they don't find evidence of pedigree chum you end up in the clink. Popgun
The trouble is you can't trust the RSPCA
tiercel
I believe that it also makes it a criminal offence to overfeed an animal. Inso much as prosicutions have been brought for obese dogs.
pin
Yep, biggest bunch of antis going, most of the top brass are affiliated either directly or indirectly with terrorist animal rights groups. It's this lot the government trust, too. Mind, at least they are consistent.

death from below
I've never had anything whatsoever to do with the rspca so i don't have a clue what they are about.....other than these fly on the wall half hour specials where they are shown s saintly saints.....is it a case, as often happens on this forum, that like the police the rspca are slagged off somewhat unfairly and accused of not doing their job/doing it the wrong way/upsetting the wrong people when all they are doing is carrying out a difficult job.....and with most cases probably underfunded and overstretched......I bet the front line rspca officers are a good bunch with the heads/hearts in the right place.....is it not the case of the policy makers in the rspca that make daft rules and regs that achieve the bad press.....or as i've said I don't know much about them....they may in fact all be a bunch of fools.
