duster
Popped into my local RFD today to buy cartridges, end up leaving the shop with yet another shotgun. It's an E.Rizzini O/U multichoke, ejector, 26" barrel, looks like it might be a skeet gun, not sure. Small crack in the stock, barrels have lost a wee bit of blueing, but shoots great and everything works ok. Only paid £50 so quite pleased. Can anyone confirm if this is indeed a skeet gun? Someone at the local CPSC said so) Was it a good buy for £50? I don't like being seen off. All replies gratefully received. mossy835
if you pay £50 for a o/u then you cant go wrong,a rizzini is a good gun.i had one
Graham M
It probably started out as a 28 inch multi-choke and someone has cut the chokes off to make it shorter. This means it has no choke whatsoever and has been called a “Skeet gun†to sell it. For £50 though you can’t moan about it. G.M.
Wookie
£50 notes for a skeet gun? I'd say that was a bargain. spend some time blue the barrels and get that stock fixed and you could probably shift it for a fair bit more that that. Is it still a multi though, like Graham said, just fixed wide open?
duster
It is still a multichoke, only reason I thought it was maybe a skeet gun is cos someone at the local clay ground suggested that is perhaps what it is meant to be. Came with 1/4 and 1/2 chokes, the rfd is looking the other ones out for me. It is the cheapest gun I own, and the one that I shoot best with! Will post some pics once I have cleaned it up a bit. Thanks again, Duster

duster
Funny you should say that, humperdingle was originally offered that gun a few weeks ago for £80. Myself and 'dingle are going up to cluny clays tomorrow if you want to tag along. We'll be up at about 11 am. Cheers Duster

duster
I've known humperdingle for about 7 years, but right enough, Fife is a wee place! What kind of rifle are you getting? Cheers Duster
mr smith
I've got a erma .22 semi auto coming, it's a copy of the american m1 carbine,it's a little plaything.
humperdingle
Yes, we Fifers are a result of heavy in-breeding during the 70's (much like Royalty in many ways I suppose) It's a very nice gun "Duster" (very strange calling him by that as I've known him as otherwise!) Mr Smith - I was there when he bought the Rizzini, and the guy at We're Game seems to like his elastic prices. (He remembered selling the AYA). I think it's pretty easy to come and go with the figures, as many of the older guns he sells would likely be off to auction - where he might get a fraction of the money back. Very nice gun for £50, and having seen the woodwork stripped back today, it's looking very much the part! I'd give it 2 weeks and that gun will be easy to sell at £250+... although he's shooting better with it than the Escort He's had for some time, so it's a keepsie gun. Nice one Duster - see u next weekend for an update, old boy.
mr smith
the guy at We're Game seems to like his elastic prices. Maybe has trouble with his memory ,as having seen the shop he's clearly forgotten what year he was supposed to clean the place.

duster
There are pellet holes in the woodwork round the door frame! I hope he shuts the shop before shooting!

humperdingle
Nice. I'd like a rifle of some kind I think. I could get an air rifle and scope etc for target shooting, but I like the idea of knocking a hole in something 500 yards away. Bit more satisfying that. What are the fees like for joining your place? And I'm assuming you'd have to be a member for a length of time before an FAC was granted?
