Yorkshire Pudding
Stoves Welcome to the site .. Grow thickskin and you'll do fine As to an effective decoy pattern ... Your going to get lots of post's that say try this and try that .. Sometimes a pattern will work 1 day .. but not the next .. I usually chuck my decoys out , face them into the wind and make sure they are stood up . The more decoys you use the better ! all the best yis yp
JONO
How many are you talking YP? A dozen? A score? 50? I will be in posession of 24 come Friday, hopefully, - any more would require a second bergen!
Cranfield
There are a few decoy layout hints, on the front page of this site. JONO, I take about 60 decoys with me, plus floaters, dead bird cradles and rotary. Of course, I may not use them all in every situation, but I take them. M ROBSON
I don't use anywhere near that many decoys. Usually only about a dozen combined with a magnet. If im shooting on drills I'll take 8 or 10 dead birds on cradles and then lay a few of the birds I shoot out with them. I've never had to use more than that and rarely have problems pulling birds in. tody27
I keep everything simple! I use 10 shell deeks, 2 full deeks and a floater. I always use a conventional arrow head/horse shoe formation as the pigeons dont need to worry about flying into the feeding pigeons. hope it helps. Pigeon_decoyer
when ever i go pigeon shooting i always replace my decoys with pigeons i have just shoot because its the real thing and if im doing something wrong i know it wont be the decoys.
