SuperGoose75
Well its a fight we all wanted to see and it is confirmed for February in Manchester. I hope Frampton wins,But i fancy Quigg to be beat the Jackal, possibly by knockout. Cant wait for this one.
sako751sg
Was beginning to think this top domestic fight wouldnt happen but looks like its a done deal. Like you i think Frampton has more tools in his locker and will win but heres hoping for a great fight anyway. Mis-read your post but realise you fancy Quigg to win. Gordon R
Quite rare for a fight which should take place to actually happen. Credit to both of them. Too close to call.

Yeah it it wasnt looking good for a while due to Money/venue issues. Glad they where able to strike up a deal in the end. I agree with what you say about Frampton having the better tools, however I fancy Quigg to win this one. Frampton had an air of invincibility about him; however i think he was very lucky to have got through his last fight with the Mexican. He now knows he can be hurt, which could work in his favour but at the same time it will have sowed a few doubts in his head. And one thing is for sure, Scott Quigg can bang. The Mexican guy was a wiry fella with obvious power, Quigg is not so wiry' but is a bigger built man and he has power. He made short work of an over the hill' Kiko Martinez which it took Carl a while to get on top of him in the rematch. I think if that fight had of went on another round or two it would have been very close on the cards . Should be a cracker which ever way it goes. Incidentally' on the Boxing in general,i was going to do a thread which you might find of interest, especially as you are a Scotch man. You may already know of this fella,But to be honest with you' I am a life long Boxing Fan but had not heard of this fella until the song came out. The band is from my part and I think its a great song' which led on to me watching the three part documentary on the Boxer which I found fascinating, to say the least. I will put up the links to the song and hope yourself and boxing fans find it of interest. Slightly of the topic but im sure it will be ok. sako751sg
As long as its a good fight its all good and can go either way. Benny was probably the best boxer ever to come from here, although Ken Buchanan could have something to say about that.Sounds like you have researched him a bit so i wont need to say how rated he was and is still getting listed in ATG boxing lists. Unfortunately the drink ruined him and the end of his life is a very sad story but self inflicted.
Gordon R
Always liked watching Tom Imrie, when he was an amateur and later as a pro. Guaranteed excitement.
timps
Being from Bury and having met him a few times due to mutual friends I am totally unashamedly biased in favour of Quigg. Really looking forward to this fight and think he can do it.

sako751sg
Always liked watching Tom Imrie, when he was an amateur and later as a pro. Guaranteed excitement. Outstanding amateur but found it hard in the pro ranks. As you say he was exciting and was always looking for a tear up.
sako751sg
Frampton takes this all day long. a much more rounded boxer in every department. I was pretty sure of this but Gonzalez has sown a few seeds to how chinny Frampton might be. Still fancy him but time will tell.
