snow white
Hi lads how much trouble is it to open a side lock shotgun I have opened box locks but not a side lock.I known I need the right screw drivers or as the trade call them turn keys.if I take the plates of does anything fall out I am quite capable of doing the job but never seen inside a side lock.thanks for looking. welshwarrior
If you mean removing the 2 locks no it is very easy and all the lock work stay on the side plates. Normally 1 pin often with a little handle to help you turn it no need for a turn screw.
snow white
This one as no pin on the side just screws.so it all stops on the side plates that's handy.thank you
deershooter
Be careful I have played with a few lady gardens ,but I'm not a gynaecologist ! If you need to ask your not the man for the job, gunsmiths are trained not made
ChrisAsh
One thing someone who knows shotguns said always remover things from the right hand side first if there are two options, Pins etc are normally inserted from the left side so knock them out from the right, also the left side normally holds the threads for bolts that start on the right side
