rjimmer
Had a cold call yesterday from these people, offering boiler and heating system insurance. Any views or experience of their service?
Dougy
It's a business, they are in it to make money. That's obvious I know but you need to look at the cost of the policy.
MrM
I have a Home Emergency policy via Swinton, and pay £9.50 a month. Have had to use it twice - once when we had a gas leak which cost £270 odd quid which was refunded, and once when boiler packed up a Sunday and they sent an engineer within 2-3 hours who fitted a new fan - no charge. Covers water, gas, electricity and heating.
bruno22rf
Read the small print-some don't cover boilers over 5 years old but forget to mention the fact.
rjimmer
I've already got service agreements with British Gas, including Landlord's Gas-Safe certificates every year, but it's costing.... I'll be asking BG to match or better the price I get offered, and probably stick with them. If the houses were closer to home, I wouldn't bother.
