6.5x55 with 100gr Nosler BT's, what COAL????

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have bought some 100gr noslers to try in my swede for fox.

Nosler have the coal at 3.025" which has the bullet seated around 4mm into the neck, I have read as a rule the bullet should be seated a minimum of its diameter, so 6.5mm

Has anyone loaded this bullet and if so what coal did you use???

Go with a calibre deep then work it out but frankly if you turn any preconceptions off you are highly unlikely to find a difference of any note at up to 300 yards in a factory cut chamber

Getting everything straight is way more important. Touching or worse jamming into the rifling can lead to pressure spikes so just take care that doesn't occur no matter what your loading
