dan12345
Good evening. I have two working cockers that he done 20 plus days since the start of the season. They are very hard working dogs in thick cover and get pussy like spots all over their bodies the day after work. We tend to use diluted dettol on the affected areas. Do any of you guys have any other remedies that may help. Many thanks
bluesj
I use to give my terriers a warm bath with hibiscrub and a nice warm bed if they had a hard day, it seemed to sort out any cuts and scratches
postie
My cocker birch use to have these green pussy lumps mostly on her bare skin around her belly and inner legs Bloody horrible things too only happens after being in one patch of wood I was using for training every were else ok Pirateze antihistamine From the vet ,same as the human ones seemed to clear it strait away vet asked me if there was a lot of badgers, foxes in that area and there are several sets she thought it could be something the dog was picking up of the brambles that the above could have left after passing thro I now use a medicated cattle horse dog shampoo from my local farmers coop, have to dilute it down but it's Good staff ,hope you solve the problem Edited December 4, 2015 by postie

Hayden
Thanks for the help too. I think I'll get some hibiscrub too, A few of us are having exactly the same problems this year, the dogs have never really had these pussy spots before. A mate took his to the vet the first time it happened this season, and they thought it may have been poison ivy, not sure whether that's the case or not, and yet, a gamekeeper I know said it's the bramble scratches just getting infected. Who knows! Whatever the case, the dogs just seem to be really beaten up (By the brambles) this year, not that they are that bothered! Cheers Hayden
