Brad93
Winchesters go best through my 455 heavy barrel. Group 5 inside a 1p coin at 50 yards
kent
Winchester have dropped considerably in quality imo I have had rounds that wouldn't fire and some that wouldn't extract Rws subs are good but very subsonic dropping 2" greater at 100 yards than all other subs. Not an issue to most Cci segmenting always shot well in mine and are the very deadliest thing I have used for drt kills. Some say they wont shoot but I think it's down to not fully cleaning and re- running in again when doing an ammo swap ( I have proved mine needs this many times not all rounds mix) Eley subs have also proven thier worth and don't forget that target rounds also work well 40 grains of lead at 900 fps don't have to have a hollow point - red tag are the best I have shot at over 100 yards producing groups some centrefire guys brag about Sk are what I use though before that the same round under the Lapua heading. Monkey Nuts
Another vote for Winchester subs. Used them through my 452 for almost 10 years. The Eley's are a little more accurate but I found the Winnies a better, harder hitting hunting round.

kent
You know in a good rifle as a good shot you need to be further than 75 yards or more to pick
DaveM
Can't fault Winchester subs 40gr, they're the only thing I will use in my CZ. Doing some experimenting I hit a sub 0.5in group at 50yds. The scope is sighted in at 75yds and have knocked out bunnies at 110yds using mil dot. At that range the head expanded out to .30cal making the bunny summersault a few feet off the ground.
