MGMPEST
Howdy, I got given two tubs of Hodgdon Clays from a friend who no longer reloads, i currently only reload 20g, so does any one have any info about using 'clays' in 20g as all the data i have found relates to 12g, and it would be a shame not to use it. I would plan to reload a 24/28/30 gram of shot with a plastic wad. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks MGM

Underdog
It is great in 12g and pistols. Used a lot of it. I must add that just off the cuff so to speak I would be surprised if it can be used in 20g! Will go look!
Underdog
Nope sorry, seems to fast for 20g.

sitsinhedges
Nope sorry, seems to fast for 20g. I use AS in 20 gauge so maybe something is possible but not worth the hassle of finding out. Could it be sold or exchanged for A1 or A0? MGMPEST
Yeah i can move it on, i usually use A1 but if the clays was suitable i could have used that, not worth the risk, thanks anyway guys

I proofed some 20 gauge in AS, A1 and A0 but I intend to use them prolifically for some years to come so it was worth the trouble and expense. Underdog
Yep. I just saw some reddot loads in .410. Not worth it. That must be dodgy! Maybe a soft light slug load OK but not forshot, surely?
Guest cookoff013
That must be dodgy! Maybe a soft light slug load OK but not forshot, surely? Something like 1/4oz shot. And a tiny powders charge
