Alycidon
Getting towards trapping time again. Has anyone had any joy using a plastic maggie decoy in a trap to lure the first call birds in. A

robbiep
I use 3 fake white eggs, sitting in a small nest of hay.
Alycidon
i have tried eggs, dead rabbits and sundry other things. Three years ago I had the first one within 20 mins, last two years after a month I have had to acquire a maggie from people on here. Just trying to make the first one easier and faster. maxwell
Would it not be ok to shoot one and use it as a decoy to trap your first bird, much more effective than a plastic decoy
Bewsher500
some eggs and a bit of tin foil on a bit of string on the perch (budgie mirror style!) come to thing of it a budgie mirror might go down a treat!
