flippermaj
I posted something last year about win dry locks 3.5 inch carts occasionally not cycling in my sx3. I thought I had it sorted following a good clean but yet again today it failed to cycle the second cart. The first cart ejects cleanly and the bolt slides back home but the new cart remains in the mag tube, never gets out at all. So this morning first shot, one goose and recycles fine. Next shot ,goose hit but needs second shot but al I get is click as there is no cart in the chamber as it hasn't left the mag tube. Cycle the bolt by hand. Third shot of the morning, goose down and gun cycled fine. Apart from using 3 inch carts can any one offer some advice? The win dry locks are the only 3.5 inch steel carts available locally. fenboy
Have you checked there is no mud or crud in the magazine catch / spring , try cleaning and lubicating that , it sounds like the magazine release is not working.
dawntredder
I had a benelli supernova pump which would puncture the brass on the shell casing when the gun was pumped after first shot brand new gun,it went straight back I was having to dismantle gun each time after 3 goes I gave up...pile of ****!...different sinario altogether maybe check the magazine out altogether or take it to ya gunsmith....or just get another gun i chuck it in with the autos for an o/u 31/2" nee jams with them right!...good luck bud ;-) Try mammoths from gamebore or remi nitros....or 3" lightnings! flippermaj
Aye it's frustrating especially as the shot it failed to cycle yesterday was a follow up on a hit bird. The failure to fire meant the goose planned off out into the firth and made it to the far bank. I had to drive around the other side of the firth and walk about two mile out to the opposite bank from where I shot the goose to look for it. Got it though! No problems with the Eley lightnings, gamebores or any other carts! Cheers Flipper

Penelope
Well done Sir, you are a true sportsman.
