Do you mean they weren't committing to your decoys at all or they were overshooting the pattern?

 

if they were overshooting, try moving your pattern a bit further away (as long as the "killing zone" is not out of range) and group more decoys at the front of your pattern to act as a stop.

 

if they weren't committing at all, you have a problem either with your general pattern layout, or with your hide/you, no offence but are you doing all the basics, (good hide, keeping still, most decoys into the wind, right pattern for the wind direction, movement in the pattern, etc, etc, ) <_<
