not sure if this is the right section, but us there any way to make or buy a valve to go onto the end of a standard 12g CO2 capsual so that it might be refilled? it would be possible to screw cut the end of the cylinder so that a valve could be screwed on. would there be any place that would be able to refill the capsuals.

just wondering because it seems to be such a waste to throw them away

thanks

This came up a while back, they are only worth pennies as scrap.

They are not designed with the strength in them to be fitted with or adapted to take a valve. If you could refill them you'd already know about it because crossman would have gone out of business a long time ago

You used to be able to buy a co2 powerlet that could be recharged with a stirrup pump or bottle. It used air like a pre charged rifle does. I looked for one some time ago, but couldn't find it!

i think brocock who made the chargable cartridges used to make the kit for them, they are still in business over at redditch worcs, might be worth a bell.

Only trouble is that they are now section one (I think its section one) firearms (FAC).
