Eley Hushpower 32G Subsonics

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

Just bought a 12g Hushpower yesterday, and received a slab of the above 32 gram cartridges with it as a part of the deal (Great service by the guys over at Leek Shooting Supplies in Stoke on Trent btw). Has anyone had any experience with these shells in a 12G? how well do they perform? What kind of shells do you guys use in a 12G Hushpower?

Many thanks in advance

hi just sold my 12g hushpower last month after 12 years of having it, the very first month i got it i bought 500 eley hushpower carts, cannot remember the exact shot size and gram but they where very quiet and worked ok on rabbit and pigeon out to max 35 yards for me and my capabilities. i gave a couple of boxes to me mate who is a very good pigeon shooter and he said had very good results from them out to his personal capabilities and even he was surprised at the decrease in sound and capabilities through his un moderated o/u. that said after the ist load i went over to putting a good standard 30 gram six pigeon load and the ballistics and efficiency was better than the subby through it. for me the only benefit using the subsonic was the moderation and on the face of it was not worth the extra cost for me to continue buying subsonic cartridges just for the sound moderation capabilities. however as always you may require yours for shooting in close proximity to buildings, stock etc and as always each situation and cost to be taken on its own merit and they may be the way forward for your exact requirements.
