Scully
Bought some Nikwax many moons ago and was always struck by how much it reminded me of PVA but not until now ( and having thrown the container away ) that I've run out of Nikwax but have loads of PVA had I seriously considered using it instead of the over-priced (?) Nikwax. I should have compared the constituents of one against the other before throwing container away. Anyone tried it as a waterproofer on clothes as a watered down solution? steve_b_wales
I've used NikWax many times. The last lot I bought cost me £10 for two bottles. (NiK Tech wash & Nix Wax) The bottles will do up to three garments depending on size. In my opinion, the product works and is value for money. r1steele
PVA is water soluble so won't be any use for waterproofing anything. If you do use a diluted solution on your clothing it will result in a horrible gooey mess the second you start perspiring or it gets damp.
