In 1840 he moved to 14 St Marys Row Birmingham at this time he also opened a second shop at 143,Dale Street, Liverpool. In 1844 he patented the centre fire percussion gun Patent No 10280 these were built in both S/B and SxS and also s/b percussion rifles.
