sitsinhedges
My recipe which has been very successful for me is 70mm once fired Cheddite type case, Fiocchi 615 primer, 17grains Vectan A0, plastic obturator and 16mm fibre wad, 30grams no5 lead shot, 6 petal crimp. The Proof House velocity was 1030fps at 2.5metres.
sitsinhedges
Another 20 gauge one that I'm in the process of trying for less demanding shots is 65mm Cheddite type case, CX2000 primer, 15grains of Vectan AS, 3mm nitro card and 19mm fibre wad, 21grams no5 lead shot, 6 petal crimp. 1025fps. 542bar pressure. This is meant to be for lamping bunnies where the range is pretty close, sort of like a heavy .410 load.
snow white
Hi could I use vectran A1 as I have 4kg got the same cases and primers as you.thanks for quick reply. Tony

You need to get a recipe for that particular powder. I seem to recall that the Claygame CD had a fibre recipe for A1 using a CX2000 and 17grains of powder under 28grams of shot and it seemed to work well enough in my Hushpower but had no pressure data so you take your chances if you use it. Maybe you could make some up and get them to the proof house. That recipe also stated a 65mm case but it actually fits into a 70mm one which goes to show how flakey the data is. You get 20 shots at the Proof House, 4x5 or 2x10 so you can try some variations on the theme to see what works best.

sitsinhedges
How much is it now for the 20 shots and i take it can be 4 completely different loads It's about £45 they can be any load but only in the same gauge. They don't like having to change the barrels on their equipment to different gauges.
