Daz1986
Right guys. This is probably a daft question however I advice will be appriciated!! So I work away for 2 months at a time, I just bashed a new battery on my disco about 3 months ago and now with the cold weather and her being left its gone dead! Is this normal? And will it be right with jump start??
ditchman
Thats not normal...........something is draining it.............put a meter across the terminals with everything shut off and see how much juice is going out....maybe the alarm system ...maybe the light in the glove box.........just keep on pulling fuses until the drain stops........... Daz1986
Thanks mate. Will do. It's getting left for 2 months at a time so had a few people say that the cold drains them. Also alarm has been on to for this time
pigeon controller
Vehicles being shipped to America had the batteries disconnected do " equiescent drain" as the clocks would flatten the battery during shipment. May be clock and alarm . My disco 2 has to have the battery charger on during my three months away in the summer just to top it up. rodp
My D1 300tdi auto drains at app 300ma, probably due to alarm, alternator leakage and any other bits of electronic trickery.

Tailormadefun
they wake up every few hours to check they are still level and adjust accordingly, this is probably whats helping to drain the battery
