Guest Mr Pieman
The case of the alledged illegal slaughter of a child by the Foxy Police started in court today. During her testimony, Mrs Fox alledged her baby fox was a good boy and has never killed anything or anyone. she stated he had never been in trouble before and loved everyone. In fact, she claims the lamb in question was already dead and he was helping clear up the counrtyside in a good 'eco-friendly' fashion. She also claims his life was extinguished due to him being mistaken for someone else. Her Barrister - Damian Brush QC, looking resplendant in his russett finery - posed the question to the Police Counsel - Ivor Quad QC - that they could not, beyond reasonable doubt, prove that Mrs Fox's son actually killed the lamb and had therefore killed the young cub without concrete evidence of the offence being committed by the cub in question. Mr Brush QC further posed the question that the commontary offered by the Foxy Police's notes (suggesting Mrs Fox's cub had been caught in the act and it was evidence to anti's why foxes should be killed) rely on the killing as 'proof of why the animal did it. Mr Fox QC argued the killing only proved the cub was dead - not that it had personally committed any crime. Ivor Quad QC was not able to offer any further comment, other than repeating again that 'the images and action was compelling arguement to the damage caused by foxes to wooly herbivores'. The judge - Mr W Iseowl - commented that circumstantial evidence was not sufficient in a case such as this, and the propoganda mill around the case wound need to be stopped. Ivor Quad QC looked a little nervous; Damian Brush QC looked smug and the judge looked bored. The case continues........................ and is expected to run for some time

Well done guys B)

Guest Mr Pieman
Day three of the case - and the Press are in a reporting frenzy. Whilst Dr Pat. Hologist (defence medical advisor) put a strong case forward, the medical team for Mrs Foxy - Drs S. Onear and S. Ofar - dismantled his statement as nothing more that emotive babbling. They have proved, beyond reasonable doubt, that the redness of the blood could easily have come from the lungs of Miss Woolly Lambkins, which would be similarly red during life and soon after death. Also, part of the liver is clearly visible in the photograph which, when Baby Foxy was having his post mortem snack, would have led to staining of Miss Woolly Lambikin's body. Damian Brush QC, has asked the judge to dismiss the evidence of Dr Pat. Hologist. Mrs Foxy, during a brief statement to the media, says she is taking strength from the skill of her Counsel. The case continues. Tomorrow is a rest day, with court reconvening on Wednesday at 10am.
Axe
Thanks for all the replies fellas. B) As for the case in hand...Jerry, knowledgable in the way of sheep farming, gave the lamb the once over. Despite it missing its vital organs, one leg and being quite obviously dead, it was otherwise in a farely healthy condition. Stuart, isnt that back to front. JJ, Black Kettle Pot. Ive, very smooth. Cheers n Beers, Ivor Quad.
