Fishing Richie
I have recently purchased a Browning 525 and am struggling with it as the trigger pull weight is a lot lighter than the Maxus that I currently shoot reasonably well. My question is : do I just get used to it in its current state or is it worth /advisable to get the trigger weight adjusted. If so any idea of cost and a does anyone know good gun smith in the West Midlands who could do the work. Any advise would be welcome. Thanks Richard
Gunman
Different gun , different trigger mechanism , I would take a lite time to get used to it before you get it set . Several people in Birmingham , Wild's , Dave Lee , Wiseman's at Cannock ,all should be able to help . Cost wise comes down to time and setting pulls can take anything from a few minutes to an hour or so as the gun has to be partially stripped worked on reassembled and tested and if necessary repeated till the desired pulls on each barrel are achieved . billytheghillie
I also have just purchased same gun (game model) and found the trigger was a bit lighter than my old Beretta. Have shot clays only once with it and did a day on the partridge with it. On the game day I didn't even notice it. Stick with it, you will get used with it. Westward
Why not have the Maxus trigger lightened?
Fishing Richie
Thanks all for your input. The adjustment sounds more complex than I had realised so I will leave it as bought and try to learn to get on with it. Rich
