Hushpower 25 and 30 yards patterning 3' carts

There is no way the shot should be dropping off at that range. If it is, I would suggest those shells are next to useless.

I don't think this is anything to do with cartridges and ballistics.

 

I found with a hushpower 20ga pump I was consistently patterning low, blocking out the target made this better, but not right.

Using a laser bore sighter showed it up even more.

I traded it in for a 20ga O/U and patterned again and used the laser bore sighter, this proved to be sighting true.

 

I think the dimensions and the extra length of the single barrel moderator on the hushpower, makes the point of aim low and the extra weight contributes to barrel drop.

Once you get the hang of this, its not a problem and there are a few members on here who have proved that with some excellent results.

 

Hushpowers are excellent guns and I have a great time with mine, I just wish they had been around years ago.

I'm convinced Underdog has the key with bending the barrel, as his unmoderated one shot very low. My Baikal husher shoot ridiculously low. Still haven't found a way to deal with that issue. It might be spending few days with Underdog

there was no sight on my mossy 4/10 hushy when I bought it new, York guns they said there not fitted anymore, so it's a case just getting use to it but that as been said just blot it out otherwise it will shoot low.?
