shootingmachine Posted March 3, 2016 Report Share Posted March 3, 2016 went out today for about the 6th attempt with the odd 5 or 6 and actually managed to bag 21,they were still in big flocks some decoyed perfect otheres were more weary but it was nice to have a few come in for a change they have done quite a bit of damage one field is more mud than rape i enjoued it could be another shoot next week. pull2007 Posted March 6, 2016 Report Share Posted March 6, 2016 out yesterday the best on rape to date they came on the decoys at last steady for 2 hours then went the wind dropped and they flocked up again and sat in trees till i got sick and packed up after waiting 2 hours no joy anyway got 17 kills great sport but finished off getting jeep bogged driving off fell into the trap of going to far up the field ground must have had a frost in it first thing then thawed had to get farmer to pull me out he thought it was hilarious had the rubber matts out of car for traction which i destroyed expensive day lol but great shooting Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Shotguneddy Posted March 6, 2016 Report Share Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) Been out this morning to see what's about for the first time i n a week last week packed up early because farmer came to fertilize the osr, got 13 in 3 hours pretty quite but not bad for the time, this morning there tons of woodys forcing down osr couldn't believe how much it's grown in that short time after fertilizer last week and now the birds are hitting the poorly grown areas in massive numbers so watch this space........ Would be down there this second if I wasn't taking mum out for mothers day, maybe next Sunday if no one beets me to it.
