maxwell
I noticed a few dropping into the rape during the week so arranged to shoot yesterday, the weather forecast was cloudy and 12 mph SE, I had a spot in mind next to a sitty tree. I arrived at 8 to find about 30 sitting in the tree so walked them off and set up, 12 flocked shells in front and magnet with hypa flappers to the right with the wind coming R to L, i added the dead birds to the pattern as and when, it was a slow day but what came all decoyed perfectly even the 2 that landed in the pattern as soon as I unloaded to pack up. There were a few high jackdaws that gave a few challenging shots and a sparrow hawk that had a go at the deeks so an enjoyable day and a casserole during the week too. Most were single or double birds today with only one flock of around 20, on the drive out I noticed a few on the horse paddocks.
