Was outwith my grandson on a sown barley field ,was watching the field on Thursday and seen birds feeding and flying over , we set up near a hawthorn bush a wood at our back, 18 half she'll deeks and a flapper birds very reluctant to come in at first so I shot some good crossing and high birds going to the wood, after placing out the dead birds a few started to decoy that's when the youngster got some shooting ,he has 20 bore and 25 gram shells it was is first time over decoys and he shot five birds and hit a couple ,to say he was happy was a understatement he was very pleased near the end birds came in welland we picked 40 with 2 crows so good day and one happy boy.
