rimfire4969
My Sunbeam below had been sitting for about 12 years in a wet barn, now that had rust. And went from this: To this: It is great when you get them back, mine took about 9 months for the rebuild.
SNS
if it is the same tracker as mine, then allow me to share the benefit of my experience - don't keep the tag in the same pocket as your mobile phone or keys - otherwise the signal gets interfered with and triggers an alert - which means I used to get an almost twice daily phone call from the centre asking if everything is ok. Only when I suggested I may have the thing removed and swap to a different system did vodaphone tell me of the above issue. They claim Aston should have explained this when I took delivery, but they didn't (or I was too excited by the shiny new thing on my drive to listen)
Mungler
Rimfire, that's lovely. You could spend a lot of money just keeping the chrome shiny !
AVB
Sunbeams had rust when they were made. After 12 years in a wet barn I am surprised there was anything left. looks good now
Teal
Nice project - and good luck with it! Seeing the photos and hearing of the rust when you opend her up couldn't help me think of this... https://www.youtube.com/embed/8mdwAkWvWMw
rjimmer
These trackers sound too expensive to put on a mere quad. I've heard of travelers pinching quads and leaving them in a wood somewhere to see if they have a tacker on them. If they are still there after a week, they move them on. Are they being paranoid? Mungler
i thought it was automatic for high end vehicles that are stolen - they are parked up in busy but posh residential areas and then returned to a few days later if they are still there.
